In Fiji, cold storage plays a crucial role in the supply chain of supermarkets and grocery stores. Due to the country’s remote island location, it can be challenging to import fresh produce and perishable goods. Cold storage helps to overcome these challenges by providing a means to store and preserve these items for longer periods.

Our cold storage factory in Fiji has successfully completed a supermarket cold room project, which showcases two different cold storage units. The first one is for displaying beverages, vegetables, dairy products, and meat products at a temperature range of 0-5C, while the second one is for storing products at a temperature range of -20C.

The display unit has a capacity of 9X3X2.5M, with 100mm-thick cold room panels and use Glass cold room door  to display, which ensures that the products are maintained at optimal temperature and freshness,. The storage unit has a capacity of 6X4X2.5M, with 150mm-thick cold storage panels that are designed to maintain the low temperature required for storing products such as frozen meats.

Configured two sets of refrigeration units with different capacities, matched with cold storage rooms with different purposes and common refrigeration accessories.

In supermarkets, cold storage is used to store a wide range of items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and meat. With the hot and humid climate in Fiji, maintaining a consistent temperature in the cold storage is critical to prevent spoilage and ensure food safety. Additionally, with the growing demand for frozen foods, more and more supermarkets are incorporating deep freezers into their cold storage facilities.
